Blood Food Allergy Tests are great ways to test for food allergies, sensitivities and intolerances.
Having a food allergy or sensitivity can be a serious issue with problems ranging from mal-absorption, eczema, gastrointestinal to severe reactions.
Blood tests have several advantages over skin prick tests and oral food challenges:
• Condition of the skin doesn’t affect ability to test.
• Results are reproducible.
• No requirement for oral or intradermal challenge, therefore no risk of anaphylaxis from test.
• Patient can continue to use antihistamines if necessary.
We offer both IgG and IgA tests for all of our panels (except for mini-inhalent and candida panel). We offer a total of 6 panels; 96 general food panel, 95 vegetarian food panel, 48 herbs and spices panel, 16 mini-inhalent panel and an extra 16 vegetable panel.
